Peter Murphy- State Theatre- St. Petersburg, FL 2011

                                               Peter Murphy

Last night at the State Theatre Peter Murphy w/ LIVAN
performed.  The concert was amazing! Peter Murphy with
his signature deep melodic voice swayed the audience for
well over three hours. Their music transcends generations while
still holding true to themeselves. Listening to the band last night brought back memories of sweet surrender.

Peter’s very personable personality came through as he
talked with his fans, joking, flashing some skin and his smile
many times throughout the evening. The songs were a mix
of old and new but still keeping in the tradition which can
only be “Peter Murphy.”

Adam and I were able to meet Peter and the band. Besides
for being very tired, they were all were so nice. After enjoying
their music for many years, the opportunity to talk with them
and get some pictures was pricless. Peter and the band have a
new CD out called NINTH. Check out his webpage below. We want to thank Peter Murphy and the band for the wonderful music and their time.

LIVAN- State Theatre- St. Petersburg, FL 2011

LIVAN

Last night at The State Theatre Peter Murphy and LIVAN played an amazing concert!  The opening band LIVAN, were great! The Band formed about two and an half years ago. Their “take life by the balls” approach is apparent in the music. The heady mix of seventies punk and lyrical poetry soothes the soul. With a fusion sound a kin to Lai Bach and Sisters Of Mercy, LIVAN transcends the listener to a place few can reach.

When Adam and I spoke with the band we could feel their love for the
craft and dedication to their fans. I asked them, “When you are done
playing and have retired the band, what do you hope the fans will
remember about you? The answer? “We hope our music allowed our
fans to be connected. To hear something of ours and remember a
special time in their lives.” Well men, Bravo! Their splendid darkness
with sensual overtones is a wonderful compliment to touring with
Peter Murphy. They have a  CD coming out called “Off The Grid”
Please check out the link below.

Thank you very much to Livan and the band for your music,
generosity and allowing us into your family of mates for a while.
Cheers!

Aftermath Earthquake in Japan 8.9

In the aftermath of Friday's earthquake in Sendai Japan clean up continues.
Hundreds are dead and thousands missing. The devastation is beyond what

some of us can comprehend. The news played the video of the massive

force of water rushing in and I was reminded of Katrina. The all too familiar

sadness and hopelessness. Many countries are offering aid, anything to

help. I am humbled my friends. I do not count on luck but, believe when

these tragedies happen we come closer as a Human Race. I wish all of Japan

the best and my sympathies are with them in their time of trouble and

uncertainty.
