LIVAN- State Theatre- St. Petersburg, FL 2011

LIVAN

Last night at The State Theatre Peter Murphy and LIVAN played an amazing concert!  The opening band LIVAN, were great! The Band formed about two and an half years ago. Their “take life by the balls” approach is apparent in the music. The heady mix of seventies punk and lyrical poetry soothes the soul. With a fusion sound a kin to Lai Bach and Sisters Of Mercy, LIVAN transcends the listener to a place few can reach.

When Adam and I spoke with the band we could feel their love for the
craft and dedication to their fans. I asked them, “When you are done
playing and have retired the band, what do you hope the fans will
remember about you? The answer? “We hope our music allowed our
fans to be connected. To hear something of ours and remember a
special time in their lives.” Well men, Bravo! Their splendid darkness
with sensual overtones is a wonderful compliment to touring with
Peter Murphy. They have a  CD coming out called “Off The Grid”
Please check out the link below.

Thank you very much to Livan and the band for your music,
generosity and allowing us into your family of mates for a while.
Cheers!
