Southern Sudan Votes 99% For Independence!

According to the BBC news an overwhelming majority of Sudanese (99%) voted on Monday to split northern and southern Sudan. The southern Sudan people made their voices heard, they want independence!

Some people were quoted saying "I am now a first class citizen" and " Now I can see my family in the north." With all this which is taking place in the middle east (i.e. Egypt) now other countries are trying to get their voices heard.

Below is a link to the BBC News article with much more information. Freedom always comes at a cost. Whether it be for the government or its people. As each country faces a new world with new rules, their governments need to listen. Gone are the days of blinding looking the other way as a head of government takes advantage of its people and land.

As goes Egypt, so goes other countries in search of basic human rights. I wish all of them as peaceful a transition as possible.
